An interesting list of possible VP candidates for Obama, now that he’s all but won the nomination.
I think Webb would be the best with his anti-war credibility and the fact that he’s from Virginia.

I completely agree that Jim Webb sounds like the strongest on the list, mostly because of the anti-war position and the fact that he’s from Virginia. However, I feel like part of the reason people are so favorable to him is that his name has been thrown about since day #1. It’s almost as though people think he deserves the VP position so he sounds good to anyone…to some extent.
Also, I’d like to make a few corrections to the article. Tom Daschle (for whom I am incredibly biased and will forever support) is not actually a weak campaigner. He ran a much wider and stronger campaign backed by more money than the Republican candidate, John Thune. South Dakota seriously was just not aware (at the time) of what they had. Also, Governor Schweitzer is amazing. I actually got to sit down with him once when I was working on a gubernatorial campaign. That guy knows what he’s doing and knows how to campaign. It’s too bad that he does come from such a sparsely populated state and thereby has such a small following.
